Space Events

What this directory is

It lists conferences, workshops, symposia, trade shows, competitions, hackathons, courses and other gatherings across the space sector, worldwide. Each entry is a single edition of an event — the 2027 meeting rather than the series it belongs to — with its own dates, location, cost and sources.

Nothing here is invented. Where a record does not state something, it says so instead of guessing: "No deadline announced" means the organizer has not announced one, not that there is none.

Finding events

Open the Filter group to narrow the list. The search box matches names, summaries and topics. The Dates control chooses a window — today, this week, the next thirty days, events happening now, past events, or any date at all.

Below those, each kind of filter is a group you can open: type of event, topic, country, how you can attend, cost, registration state and the rest. Tick as many values as you like; within one group the values are alternatives, and across groups they all have to be true.

The number beside each value is how many events currently match it. A value no event matches is not offered, so you cannot filter your way to an empty page by accident.

Everything you have chosen appears as a row of chips you can remove one at a time, with a Clear all filters link beside them. Press "Apply filters" to see the results.

Reading the results

The Results group offers three views. The list shows each event as a card with its dates, location, how to attend and a short summary. The table puts the same facts in sortable columns, which is the quickest way to compare many events at once. The calendar lays them out by month.

"Dates to be announced" is a separate group at the foot of the results. Those editions are real, but their dates are not set, so they are kept out of the date ordering rather than being given a made-up position in it.

Each event says how fresh its information is. "Last checked" means somebody looked at the record on that date. "Last verified" means an authoritative source confirmed the important facts. They are different claims and a check is not a verification.

A cancelled, postponed or rescheduled edition says so at the top of its card and its page, before any detail you might act on.

What the buttons under an event do

Official website opens the organizer’s own page in a new tab. It is their page, not ours.

Add to calendar offers each calendar service by name. Google Calendar and Outlook on the web take the event straight into your calendar; "Apple Calendar or another app" downloads an .ics file that Apple Calendar, Outlook for desktop, Thunderbird and most other applications will open. An event whose dates are not confirmed says so inside the calendar entry, so you can still tell in six months.

Save keeps the event in the Saved group. It needs no account.

Compare adds the event to the Compare group, which puts up to four events side by side.

Correction opens the submission form already filled in with which event you are writing about.

Saved events

Saving is kept for you alone. If you are signed in to this site, your saved events follow your account and are there on your next visit and on your other devices. If you are not signed in, they are kept by this browser, on this device, and clearing this site’s data clears them.

The Saved group lists them as they are now, not as they were when you saved them: an event that has since been rescheduled shows its new dates.

Settings

The Settings group changes how the listing is ordered and displayed for you: what the events are ordered by and in which direction, how many appear per page, how much space each takes, the colour scheme, how dates are written, and which time zone times are shown in.

These travel in the page address, so a link you copy shows somebody else exactly what you were looking at. "Use this page’s defaults" drops them again.

Some of them may be fixed by whoever placed this listing on the page. Anything fixed is stated rather than offered, so a control you can see is always one that works.

Submitting and correcting

The Submit or correct group takes new events and corrections to existing ones. Both are read by an editor and neither changes the directory on its own.

A correction with a link to a page showing the right information can be acted on immediately. Please include one where you can.

If something does not work

Everything here works without JavaScript except the saved list and the comparison, both of which have to remember something in your browser. Searching, filtering, sorting, paging, the calendar and every link work with scripts switched off.

Every control is reachable from the keyboard, the results are announced when they change, and colour is never the only thing carrying a meaning.
