How does Starlink availability matchup with interest? Without having access to Starlink customer reservations, Google Trends can be used as a rough approximation of interest. The trends for individuals searching Google for “Starlink” are shown in the screenshots below.
Looking at the above charts, Canada, United States, and Australia are all showing strong interest; particularly in their more sparsely populated regions. For example, in Canada, the very sparsely populated Nunavut Territory (population of 40,000) is showing the strongest regional interest. Unfortunately for the people of Nunavut, they will not be in Starlink’s coverage area until 2023.
