Space Marketing: The Puli Space Technologies Plaque

A one-of-a-kind plaque created by Hungary space company Puli Space Technologies attempted to make history as part of the payload aboard the Peregrine lunar lander, launched on January 8th, 2024.

Peregrine launched flawlessly on January 8th atop the inaugural flight of ULA’s Vulcan Centaur rocket. However, just 50 minutes after separating from the rocket, the lander experienced technical issues with its propulsion system resulting in a fuel leak. Despite heroic efforts to stabilize Peregrine, Astrobotic was forced to declare the loss of the spacecraft on January 9th after assessing substantial damage and critical propellant loss.

Unfortunately the plaque never made it to the surface of the moon.
