Starlink Users Feature in Advertising Surveillance Allegations

Researchers linked Discover-Tech to advertising bids targeting Starlink users, according to an October 27 Reuters report. Reuters cited six people familiar with the findings and described suspected geolocation or surveillance activity.

The allegation concerns exposure through advertising systems. It does not establish that Starlink satellites or their control systems were penetrated.

Discover-Tech and SpaceX did not respond to Reuters’ requests for comment. The reported connection and suspected purpose remain allegations attributed to the researchers and sources described by Reuters.
