Maritime Launch Services announced conditional TSX listing approval on October 15, 2026. The developer of Spaceport Nova Scotia expects its common shares to trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange under MAXQ after meeting the exchange’s requirements and receiving final approval.
The company said its shares would continue trading on Cboe Canada until TSX trading begins. It plans to announce the transition dates separately. The announcement concerns an existing public company changing its Canadian trading venue, rather than an initial public offering.
President and Chief Executive Officer Stephen Matier said the move would increase the company’s visibility in Canadian capital markets. The release did not announce a new share sale or financing proceeds.
Spaceport Nova Scotia is a land-based launch facility under development near Canso. Maritime Launch is developing the site for civil and defense missions, with launch companies using its infrastructure.
A facilities arrangement with Germany’s Isar Aerospace provides a specific example. On September 14, Maritime Launch announced that the partners had finalized the statement of work and programmatic milestones under their facilities usage agreement. Completing those documents satisfied a condition of the agreement and advanced development of a dedicated launch complex for Isar’s Spectrum rocket.
Maritime Launch said the next construction phase was underway and identified 2028 as the target for the first orbital launches from Nova Scotia. The finalized work plan retained the principal terms announced in July. These commitments concern construction and use of launch infrastructure, separate from the exchange-listing process.
That distinction also explains Maritime Launch’s role in the project. A spaceport developer supplies the site and associated facilities; the launch provider supplies and operates the rocket. As New Space Economy’s discussion of spaceport finances explains, facility businesses can sell pad access, leases, payload processing, and campaign support. Infrastructure agreements define which facilities and services a particular customer receives.
SpaceQ’s reporting places the proposed transfer alongside other Canadian space companies already listed on the TSX, including MDA Space, Telesat, and Calian Group. The immediate documented next step for Maritime Launch is completion of the exchange’s conditions, followed by confirmation of when TSX trading will start and Cboe Canada trading will end.
